JSPA is a skilled nursing facility located in Neptune, New Jersey just off Route 18 and down the block from Jersey Shore University Medical Center.
JSPA offers short-term rehabilitation, including physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy as well as long-term care services and a peritoneal dialysis program. We offer a beautifully renovated facility with the feel of a luxury hotel as well as the comfort of home.
We accept Medicare, Medicaid and most insurance plans.
Subacute
Seven days a week, an interdisciplinary team works together with physicians to create and implement customized rehabilitation plans for each patient. All residents are also monitored by a board-certified staff psychiatrist.

Dr. Suhas R. Patel, MD
Jersey Shore Post Acute is very honored to have Dr. Suhas R. Patel, MD as our medical director. Dr. Patel has been specializing in both Geriatric and Internal medicine for over 20 years.
Dr. Patel is affiliated with Jersey Shore University Hospital, Ocean Medical Center and Community Hospital and has been running his own internal medicine practice in Ocean, NJ for the past 18 years. Dr. Patel has a stellar reputation and is extremely well respected in our community by fellow physicians and specialists in our area who have had the privilege to know and work with him.

IN-HOUSE PULMONOLOGY PROGRAM
JSPA is proud to partner with father and son duo Dr. Amardeep S. Parhar, DO, and Dr. Avtar S. Parhar, MD, our consulting Pulmonologists dedicated to providing high-quality, patient-centered respiratory care.
Dr. Avtar Parhar is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Pulmonary Medicine and has been in practice since 1996. He completed his Pulmonology fellowship at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey Medical School. He serves as President of the Medical Staff Office at Bayshore Hospital and is also affiliated with Raritan Bay Hospital. He maintains a private practice with Pulmonary Internists of Central Jersey in Holmdel.
Dr. Amardeep Parhar is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Pulmonary Medicine and board-eligible in Critical Care Medicine. He completed advanced training in pulmonary and critical care and brings extensive experience in the management of chronic lung disease, complex pulmonary conditions, and high-acuity respiratory illness. His clinical expertise includes bronchoscopy, ventilator management, and the care of medically complex patients.
Together, Drs. Parhar bring a wealth of clinical expertise, experience, and compassionate care to JSPA. Their approachable bedside manner, commitment to communication, and focus on coordinated care help support better outcomes, greater comfort, and an enhanced quality of life for our residents.
IN-HOUSE NEPHROLOGY PROGRAM
Under the leadership of Dr. Mayurkumar P. Patel, MD
JSPA is proud to welcome Dr. Mayurkumar P. Patel, MD as our consulting Nephrologist who will be rounding weekly at our facility.
Dr. Patel is a affiliated with multiple hospitals in the area, including Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Bayshore Medical Center at Hackensack Meridian Health and Monmouth Medical Center-Long Branch Campus. He completed his nephrology fellowship training at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA and has been in practice for more than 20 years. Dr. Patel has expertise in treating acute renal failure, chronic kidney disease, congestive heart failure, and hypertension, among other conditions and has a great reputation in the area.
Dr. Patel is a dedicated, driven, empathetic and compassionate health care professional with a wonderful bedside manner and is a true patient advocate.
Dr. Patel is an important and integral part of our facility and we are grateful to have him as part of our dynamic and progressive team
CARDIOLOGY PROGRAM
Under the leadership of HAROON KHAN, MS, PA-C, CCDS, CEPS
Haroon Khan, MS, PA-C, CCDS, CEPS is a board certified cardiology/cardiac electrophysiology physician assistant. He received his undergraduate and graduate training at the Wagner College in Staten Island, New York. He has been providing care for cardiac patients at Shore Heart Group for 13 years.
Shore Heart Group is a premiere comprehensive cardiology practice providing care for patients across the Jersey Shore.
INFECTIOUS DISEASE PROGRAM
Under the leadership of Dr. Nasir Ahmad, MD
Dr. Ahmad, Director of Infectious Disease Program at Jersey Shore Post Acute, is a highly experienced and board-certified specialist in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases. He obtained his medical degree from King Edward Medical School and completed his fellowship at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital/UMDNJ. With a prestigious career, he has held key positions at Hackensack Meridian Health and serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, Rutgers University. Dr. Ahmad has also been recognized with The United States Presidential Volunteer Services Award for his significant contributions. JSPA is privileged to have him as part of their dedicated healthcare team.

Jersey Shore Post Acute Rehab and Nursing is proud to have Dr. Michael Dambeck, DO, Dr. Steven S. Neuman, and Kimberly Tallia, APN of Sea Girt Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Associates on our medical team. By focusing on our patients as whole individuals and providing rehabilitation medicine dedicated to the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of all types of disabilities related to the brain, nerves, bones and muscles, they are improving the quality of life for our patients day by day. ENDOCRINOLOGY PROGRAM
Under the leadership of Esther Gewirtzman, NP
With the epidemic growth of type 2 Diabetes in the U.S. disproportionately affecting the elderly, JSPA is pleased to welcome Esther Gewirtzman, Family Nurse Practitioner in Endocrinology from Dialog Healthcare to our amazing team of specialists.
Esther graduated from Touro University in Biology and received a BSN from Rutgers University, followed by her FNP degree from Walden University.
She will be on site consulting at our facility on an as-needed basis providing effective and compassionate care for our Diabetic residents, improving their quality of life and reducing hospital readmissions.
She will provide an Individualized Care Plan for our residents with a compassionate approach to care and offer advanced treatment options.
JSPA is so pleased to now be able to offer this program as we continually strive to provide the highest level of care and the best outcomes for our residents.

Respite
Sometimes a caregiver needs a brief respite from the day to day responsibilities of caring for a loved one, either to rejuvenate or to take a pre-planned vacation.
If you or your loved one needs a little additional temporary medical or nursing support, Jersey Shore Post Acute provides short term respite care on a daily, weekly and/or monthly basis. During a Respite stay, short-term patients receive the same high level of care as other patients, in a safe and secure environment cared for by skilled professionals.
